AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Swapan Debbarma and his 9 year old daughter Suma Debbarma today have received "Panna Dhai Award" in Rajasthan.

The Courage of Swapan and his daughter had saved life of many train passengers in Tripura and to appreciate that humanitarian courage the award was given.

Swapan Debbarma saved passengers from train accident by stopping the train before it met a major accident during flood and landslide period in state.

Ambassa to Agartala Railway track was identified as damaged, Swapan Debbarma with big leaves and his clothes signaled the train to stop and in this way he saved thousands of people’s lives.

After that few young passengers posted Swapan Debbarma’s photo in social media which made him popular overnight for his good work and sharp brain.
