AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): After day long marathon meeting, BJP's political ally IPFT has announced two candidates’ names for both MP seats of Tripura. With a shocking outcome of IPFT’s meeting on Saturday, IPFT has announced NC Debbarma as East Tripura candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.East Tripura is a reserved ST seat, whereas CPI-M has given its candidate sitting MP Jitendra Chaudhury. BJP, Congress yet to announce the candidates’ names.Narendra Chandra Debbarma is the president of the Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura and former director of All India Radio, Agartala. He allied his party with BJP in the Tripura Legislative Assembly election, 2018 and won 8 seats out of 9 which constituted 7.5% of the total votes polled.From West Tripura S.Noatia, a young dynamic leader from IPFT will be contesting. While announcing, Minister Mebar Jamatia said that such dynamic leaders other parties would not have. Now state is waiting to have Congress and BJP's candidates' names.

 However, IPFT said. if BJP wants to align by compromising 1 seat, then IPFT will welcome BJP. 

Tripura Election to be conducted in two phases on April 11 and April 18. There are two MP seats and BJP, CPI-M, Congress, IPFT all four major parties are participating.
