AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): With a shocking outcome of IPFT’s meeting, IPFT has announced NC Debbarma as East Tripura candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

East Tripura is a reserved ST seat, whereas CPI-M has given its candidate sitting MP Jitendra Chaudhury. BJP, Congress yet to announce the candidates’ names.

Narendra Chandra Debbarma is the president of the Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura and former director of All India Radio, Agartala. He allied his party with BJP in the Tripura Legislative Assembly election, 2018 and won 8 seats out of 9 which constituted 7.5% of the total votes polled.

From West Tripura S.Noatia, a young dynamic leader from IPFT will be contesting.

In a press meet, Minister Mebar Jamatia has announced this, urging people to vote for IPFT.
