AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Tripura High Court has put strict restriction against Barbaric Jail environment in Tripura, asking State Govt of Tripura to take action against such activities inside jail.
A division bench of the High Court, comprising of Chief Justice Sanjoy Karol and Justice Arindam Lodh, on Wednesday heard a petition after receiving a letter from Khowai District and Sessions Judge said that under-trial prisoners at Khowai Subdivisional-Jail had to unclothe themselves in the name of examination.
The High Court Chief Justice also mentioned, such acts are signs of “alarming situation of the jail” in Tripura.
“Situation within Jail is very alarming, if the situation is not brought under control, very shortly anything may happen”, the Justice said.
