E-rickshaw drivers in trouble after High Court bans their vehicles, chaos in city

AGARTALA, Feb 21 (TIWN): Chaos hit Agartala City on Thursday after E-Rickshaw drivers started road blockade demanding alternative option or Govt help along with more time for the banning.
The agitators said, they have taken loans to buy the batteries and the original batteries would cost at least Rs. 30000 which is not possible for them to buy.
Also paddle rickshaw cause huge physical labour which is hard for them to continue.
The agitators have demanded time and proper system to implement the High Court order so that they do not die in starvation. They also raised question, why the selling of those batteries are not stopped.
