KATHALIA, Feb 20 (TIWN): With a shocking and rarest display of violence by Border Security Force (BSF), atleast 7 persons were injured and hospitalized at Kathalia of Sonamura, said local media.

Why BSF attacked them in open market, the cause yet to be clarified. Local people have demanded proper investigation in that matter.

At first the BSF jawans rushed to Matin Nagar market at around 8.30 night and started beating public there without saying anything, a local newspaper 'Tripura Darpan' stated.

As a result, local people also took sticks in hands but in that attack at least 7 persons were injured whereas 5 persons were severely injured. Maximum of them were businessmen.

The injured persons are : 1) Swapan Rudrapal, 2) Bidhubhushan Rudrapal, 3) Dipankar Ghosh, 4) Balai Ghosh, 5) Abdul Kalam, 6) Idrish Mia, 7) Amin Mia.
