AGARTALA, Feb 15 (TIWN): Resentments spiked up among the B.Ed qualified unemployed youths in Tripura who couldn’t appear in the upcoming TET examination as Govt has put the entire test in abeyance and there is almost no chance that those vacant posts will come in advertisement again. With another shocking note, Education Minister Ratan lal Nath has announced if needed Govt to give loans but teaching is not the alternative to end unemployment problems. He further announced a “proper filtering†should be done so that there is no compromise with the teachers quality. What Ratanlal Nath meant was the TET will be slow and tough and hard-filtering will be done. Above 5000 youths are unemployed who are having B.Ed degrees already or in the last semester.“I know, in media reports are coming mixing unemployment and teachers recruitment. But, I will not do that. If needed Rs. 10 lakhs of loans will be given to unemployed youths so that they can become establish but no compromise will be done regarding teachers qualityâ€, said Ratanlal Nath signaling he needs quality of teachers.
However, teachers recruitment already in Tripura is via TET, but Education Minister asserter further, via TET he would “Filter Teachers” and will chose the “best teachers”.
Ratanlal Nath came in explanation because recently his department cancelled more than 3000 vacant posts under Education dept and the TET exam was cancelled.
Tripura Govt has stopped the TET exam for an uncertain period of time. Also the upcoming TET Exam which was scheduled to be held on February 24 has been cancelled. In a notification, dated 11.2.2019, Controller of the Examination, TET-Tripura informed, “Referring to our Examination No-5-2018, dated 7-12-2018 and information vide No.F.2 (1-18) GEN/TRBT/REC/2018-19/311 & information vide No.F.2 (1-18) GEN/TRBT/REC/2018-19-312, dated 7-12-2018 is being informed to all concerned that recruitment process of all Graduate Teachers (IX-X) and Post Graduate Teachers (XI-XII) is kept in abeyance until further order”.
