AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): CPI-M has hit the BJP led State Govt for using bulldozers in MGNREGA works, claiming that it would decrease the mandays further.

CPI-M further suggested to use manpower rather than machines.

“Earlier in CPI-M’s time Tripura topped in MGNREGA mandays but now the rural economy is collapsed. Farmers are bound to commit suicide, which never happened earlier”, CPI-M leader Narayan Kar told media.

“Today hunger has not only gripped rural areas but also the town areas. Now, data says that only 33 days of work was held and also wages are pending”, he said.
