AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Like every year, a football tournament between Justice and Advocates were organized today at Astabal Stadium participated by High Court Justices even the Chief Justice Sanjay Karol.

Addressing media, High Court Justice Subashsish Talapatra said, “It’s a tradition that every year a match is organized between bar and bench. But we do it just for enjoyment. People are sitting on benches not involved in games and physical activities. So, everytime bar members win but we enjoy a lot”.

Advocate Bhaskar Debbarma, senior lawyer Pijush Kanti Biswas said, “Every year this match is held but this time our Chief Justice Sanjay Karol has participated and has shown much more enthusiasm. The match was from 7 am, whereas he came at 6.30. He has inspired us”.

“We have a very monotonous life and work on benches. That’s why we chose the day to improve the friendly relation”, Biswas added.  

Justice Arindam Lodh said that this match proves that Justices have a life out of the court.
