AGARTALA, Jan 19 (TIWN): All JICA employees (employed under State Govt) were terminated by the State Govt of Tripura affecting over 750 families.
Addressing media at Melarmath Party Office, MP Jitendra Chaudhury said, “With heavy attempts two foreign projects we brought from Japan and Germany under the Left Front Govt. On that time I was the Forest Dept Minister”.
“We also insisted the company to continue the project and hence the Japan projects 2nd project was inaugurated after a long wait by the BJP Govt. But unfortunately the youths worked for 8 years long, they have been terminated”, he added.
“At the beginning it was told them (unemployed youths) that their jobs will be secured and also from BJP it was said same, but when inaugurated, from Govt side nowhere mentioned about them”, said Jitendra Chaudhury.
“Thus we request the Govt that each of the youth should be reappointed under whose struggle JICA project developed”, he said.
