DHARMANAGAR, Jan 16 (TIWN): Amid statewide tension, violence and recently held shocking brutal police attack at Jirania, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has claimed that people are celebrating mela (fairs) in such manners in BJP era, which they never did in previous Govts’ era in last 30/40 years.
“Earlier people were afraid of unknown happenings. Some unknown fear had been gripped them, but now no more such gloominess can be observed”, he said.
“I visited Tirthamukh on yesterday for the first time and local people at there told me that such crowed never was seen earlier. In Diwali also, the gathering this year was 3 times more than the previous years”, Biplab Deb added.
Noteworthy, statewide violence and poverty, workless conditions have gripped the state, whereas 5 Tiprasa youths were brutally injured by police bullet. But the Chief Minister who is also the Home Minister yet to condemn the incident.
Statewide public have demanded Biplab Deb’s resignation.
