AGARTALA, Jan 11 (TIWN): Serious allegation raised against BJP MLA Surajit Datta for sending his gang to loot a public shop and attacking the shop-keeper in organized manner. The attack was done during the MLA and his gang’s visit at Agartala border area. However the shop is located at Durga Chowmuhani.

One shopkeeper Priyotosh Ghosh, S/O-Surendra Ghosh a local businessman here alleged that a huge team led by BJP MLA Surajit Datta attacked him today at his shop.

Being asked by media, how the incident took place Priyotosh Ghosh said, around 60 to 70 men under MLA Surajit Datta entered the border area and attacked in the shop ‘Shukh Santi Mistanno Bhandar’.

However why the incident took place he couldn’t clarify but identified few of the miscreants and lodged an FIR.

Since election result the border areas remained under tension at Agartala Gol Chakkar area and huge clashes occurred between ruling BJP activists also connected with border business.
