Amid law and order issues, strike remained successful for trade unions

AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Amid Jirania law and order problems, trade union called 2 days long strike received huge public response.
After Day-1 of strike, when BJP came daring by forcing shopping malls, offices to open shutters led by BJP Gneneral Secretary Pratima Bhomwik, on Day-2 also public skipped to go out.
Across motorstands on Wednesday no traveler was seen, whereas BJP still held picketing against strike.
Except trade union backed strike, there was a strike called by NESO against citizenship bill, which triggered tension at Jirania and police’s brutal firing left 6 youths injured and 1 critical.
