AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): FIR was lodged against 3 persons for disrupting peace during strike agitation at Jirania on Tuesday, however so far no arrest was done.

But till now, there is no action against state police who without announcement led by SP West Ajit Pratap Singh launched the firing at Jirania on Tuesday during a Northeastwide protest against citizenship bill.

Total 6 persons were injured in police firing after a clash between ruling and opposition allegedly erupted.

Reports said that one local gun was also seized from the spot.

Section 144 has been continuing across West District’s sensitive areas.
