Agartala, Dec 23 (TIWN / IANS) Three persons, including a woman and a teenager, were charred to death and four others critically injured, when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, a car and a bike collided in Tripura's Amtali area, police said on Sunday.
A high speed bike dashed into the auto-rickshaw from the rear end and the three-wheeler collided with the car coming from the opposite direction erupting in a huge ball of fire.
"The two passengers of the auto-rickshaw were charred to death on the spot and another succumbed to his injuries in the Govind Ballabh Pant Medical College and Hospital.
Four others onboard the other vehicles sustained critical injuries in the accident that took place some 12 km south of here on the Agartala-Sabroom National Highway late on Saturday.
All vehicles burnt down to their chassis before the fire fighters reached the spot.
Police were yet to identified the disfigured bodies.
