AGARTALA, Dec 19 (TIWN): CPI-M’s youth wings DYFI, TYF, SFI, TSU marched massive protest rally here in Agartala voicing against BJP-IPFT Govt led circular on curbing Govt job opportunities in Tripura.

The protest started from Chatra Yuva Bhawan and the Leftist agitators moved across the city condemning the circulation.

The protest was staged after Tripura Finance Dept in circulation under No.F 9 (2) FIN (G)/ 2017/ 711 on December 17 said that Tripura having the “highest numbers of Govt employees” and there is no need of any more Govt employee unless the posts are vacated by surrender or retirement.

The order also said, “Tripura has the highest level of Govt employment in the country. 

The level of employment is double in Tripura in compare to the states like Meghalaya. Needless to say, there is need to be extremely prudent in the matter of further recruitments”. 

This circulation as soon as was leaked it hit state’s unemployed youths as BJP Govt before the Election had promised on 50,000 vacant posts’ filling up in the first year of the Govt formation. Moreover, now moving 180 degree from the promise BJP Govt also slashed around 8000 job recruitments which were under process since the previous CPI-M Govt.

The Leftist student unions and youth units have demanded BJP Govt should fulfill its all undone promise to the unemployed youths which scripted in the Vision Document including “house to house jobs”.
