AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): Two cooking gas cylinder thieves were arrested by West Agartala Police on Tuesday and produced before the Court on Wednesday.

Two of the robbers were identified as : 1) Niranjan Raut and 2) Debasish Adhikari.

Following the arrest West Agartala Police station OC-Subrata Chakraborty said, “On 13^th September, Sima Debbarma, resident of Natun Palli, who for office work stays outside home in day time complained that her gas cylinders were theft and it was known from sources that a gang is operating the cylinder robberies”.

“Through CCTV footages, we arrested both of them on yesterday and recovered the gas cylinders. Such operations were done by using bikes in day times so that nobody gets any doubt”, the OC added.
