AGARTALA, Dec 7 (TIWN): Tripura’s local TV channel Mrinalini ENN has filed a petition in High Court after the BJP Govt had forcefully shutdown broadcasting of the channel.

The channel named Mrinalini ENN complained that SDM and Sristi-cable had illegally shutdown the channel without giving proper notice to them.

The first writ petition was submitted, whereas the second will be submitted soon.

Recently viewers of the channel had staged protest in front of Sristi cable for closing the channel.

Another channel ‘Din Raat’ was also closed by the Govt after assuming power. Even under DM West Sandeep Mahatme’s order 40 years old newspaper Daily Desher Katha was also closed, which was resumed after High Court’s orders. Tripurainfowa.com facebook page was blocked, whereas attempts taken by the BJP Govt to shutdown the website and SP West illegally sent notice to US based domain of Tripurainfoway.com to shutdown Tripurainfoway.com and also harassed Editor’s old parents by police and the Editor has taken also legal step against SP West Ajit Pratap Singh.
