AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): Amid increasing crime against women, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb claimed all types of crimes against women are decreasing, whereas rapes were decreased at 10%. He also claimed, charges of dowry was also decreased.
In last 5 months, 95 rapes occurred in Tripura.The increasing attacks upon women is not only oppositions' allegation but according to State Govt's data the level of crime has gone to that extend.
Along with rapes at the same time increasing attacks upon common men, murders have created a terror across Tripura.
Thus, amid big claims about the law and order issue, total 95 rapes from month of May to month of October took place in Tripura.
Under the BJP Govt most shocking outcome of crime against women happened when two sisters were beaten openly in Bishalgarh market followed by various similar incidents where women were assaulted in broad day light, but role of Women Commission has been cold.
