AGARTALA, Nov 29 (TIWN): A lawyer Pradip Modok, S/O- Late Promod Ranjan Modok resident of Abhoynagar in Agartala city was killed brutally on late-night and kept his body in a water-drum inside the house. Family members in the morning couldn't find him and after searching they were collapsed in shocks when found his dead body in the morning.Police were informed about the dead body found of Pradip Modok and rushed to the spot. After arriving, police recovered the body from the drum and called forensic team and dog-squad for investigation investigate. Police also confirmed that it's a murder and they are now working to find out the motive behind his murder. Pradip Modok was unmarried and was residing with his two sisters, one of those sisters was unmarried but residing in her brother's house. Talking to media, they said that they don't have any idea who killed their brother but today early morning at around 4.30 am huge sounds were heard, but ignoring those sounds, they slept again.

Crimes are spiking up in the state and there are huge allegations, proof of increasing broad day light attacks and attacks in the night hours. 95 rapes took place in last 8 months whereas murders and other crimes are also increasing. 

Total 485 Leftist Party offices have been burnt from March 3rd to October 31st. From Govt side 164 party offices have been bulldozed. Trade Union offices in total 191 numbers have been attacked and 21 were broken.

Apart from party offices 50 shops were broken, 2346 houses were burnt, attacked, 226 shops were attacked, loot incidents held in total 227 numbers, rubber gardens burnt 56, car/ bike burnt 67, 1284 people were attacked, 173 were hospitalized with severe injuries, 5 CPI-M party members were killed.
