AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced an open war against media world, suppressed voice of almost all media.
Biplab Deb and his OSD Sanjay Mishra directly calls media chiefs and editors if any news doesn’t like and dictates how to make news.
Recently Chief Minister Biplab Deb also suggested journalist on ‘National Press Day’ to write positive news like Dubai journalists.
Biplab often sits with media persons, orders all editors to join meeting. In many newspaper offices Biplab Deb has directly said if any news which may damage his popularity immediately that newspaper will be banned.
"Daily Desher Katha" which is a local newspaper of 40 years old, it was closed by BJP Govt and the main role was played by District Magistrate who during hearing called RNI office and cancelled the registration, but when the newspaper appealed in the High Court, Court clearly mentioned that in no case / no issue publication can be stopped.
On Sunday one Dipak Debnath was arrested after he shared a news item from Tripurainfowya.com and across media, this incident was condemned.
Now only time will speak whether a Chief Minister is more powerful or Honest Media is more.
