AGARTALA, Nov 21 (TIWN): CPI-M's students, youth wings have marched a massive protest rally on Wednesday afternoon here in Agartala voicing against the Rafale Deal scam led by Modi Govt.

SFI, TSU, DYFI, DYF have participated in the rally kicked off from the students-youths club of the Left party at City Centre area.

Addressing media, DYFI General Secretary Amal Chakraborty said, "In various media reports Rafale deal scam was directly associated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It alleged, PM's direct hand in the scam. We want to ask what kind of Desh-Prem (patriotism) it is when such scams took place to benefit own (BJP leaders) pockets and to help the corporate ? Why our country's own companies didn't get the deal ?"

The Rafale Deal Controversy is a political controversy in India related to the purchase of 36 multirole fighter aircraft for a price estimated to be worth Rs 58,000 crore by The Defence Ministry of India from France's Dassault Aviation. Origin of the deal lies in the Indian MRCA competition.
