AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): Tripura Women Commission Chairperson Barnali Goswami on Friday during an Indo-Bangla meeting held at Women Commission Agartala Office called for "Unity among all women" and thus called former Women Commission Chairperson Purnima Roy (a Leftist supporter) to address the meeting.
Addressing media, Barnali Goswami said, "Our aim of the meeting first of all is to strengthen the Indo-Bangla relation. How Tripura's Women Commission is functioning we will discuss before them. How Women Commission since 1990 year is functioning in India and from 1994 in Tripura, it will be explained to the Bangladesh delegates".
"How Women Commission is going to other women, helping them and solving their problems and how to overcome the crime against women it will be discussed in this meeting", said Barnali Goswami to media.
"We want that beyond all identities, women would give safety to other women in our state", she added.
