AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): Once again, daring theft has hit the capital city and this time the thieves have attacked in a house near TRTC in Barjala in Swapan Malakar's home.
According to police's report, gold items and huge amounts cash were taken by the thieves, which entered by cutting the roof. Till now, no clue about the thieves could be gathered. Police is investigating the case.
The house owner Swapan Malakar said, "Nobody was in house on yesterday night and today morning at around 7.30 am when I came after my night duty I found everything in the house have left in unorganized manner. When I called police, they came after at least 2.30 hours later. My wife's gold items, around 25,000 cash have been".
The house owner has blamed the local gangs who gather in the evening for gossiping. He also raised question, without locals' information how would thieves know which house is empty ? They sit in "addas" (gossip) since evening and from liquor, gambling they are engaged in every ill activities, but police remained reluctant to arrest them.
