AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Sunday while addressing at Nazrul Kalakshetra in Gazetted Officers Sangha's meet expressed shocks over how the communist leaders have come after BJP Govt's decision of keeping the markets open everyday, abolishment of weekly-market-shut-down trend and said such persons who are confusing people are not all good person, rather they are enemy of the nation."I was watching few talk shows and how openly few communist leaders were delivering their judgment that 7-days-opening of market will hit the workers. They must learn first before delivering address. We never said opening of shops will be mandatory. Also we prescribed rules for the shop-keepers that no working can work for 7 days. 1&half days leave to workers is mandatory. On Sunday / (other weekly market shutdown days across Tripura as Friday in Udaipur), the owner alone can sit in shop or hire a worker for 2 days at Rs. 400. They have to use their brains for that", CM said."I am happy that I can't think like communists. They are opposing everything just for opposing, no constructive criticism", he added. It can be noted here, even though cabinet had decided on Friday that from now for 7 days markets should remain open (No weekly holiday) but there was no interest, excitement among the businessmen and Agartala City was totally shutdown according to age-old "Weekly Market Shutdown" tradition.

On Sunday while addressing in a programme at Nazrul Kalaskhetra, Chief Minister Biplab Deb had hit the opposition alleging they are only confusing masses in the name of "Labours Right", rather BJP Govt has given freedom to the businessmen by 7 days-market opening announcement. CM further mentioned those who are trying to find out negative sides of the market opening they are "Anti-Nationalist" as owners of shops can't keep any worker for 7 days to work.

On November 9, on the ground of increasing public and businessmen's demands, cabinet had approved to remove one and half days market shutdown law.

Addressing media, Law Minister Ratan lal Nath said, "Even though markets will be opened 7 days but the workers should be given one and half day of leave. A businessman can close his shop in Agartala on Sunday or may not but he can not force employees to work for 7 days".

But the whole capital city remained shutdown today and no businessman has shown any interest to open shops. In Agartala on Saturday shops remained close in evening and on Sunday "total shutdown'.
