AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): Once again JUMLA-strike of BJP Govt has hit State Govt employees and pensioners in Tripura. Before delivering a great JUMLA speech on Sunday Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb assured, "In my whole life I never lied and this is BJP's policy not to lie". However, when in Durga Puja speeches CM told common men that "It's only and only 7th Pay Commission has been given to the employees, pensioners, but in Gazetted Officers meet conducted at Nazrul Kalakshetra today, the Chief Minister could not lie anymore and said that he accepts the fact of 7th Pay Commission could not be given but "scale" has been given and regarding why he promised 7th Pay Commission before election, Biplab Deb said, "I was trusting Manik Sarkar's Golden Era phrase. I heard that Tripura has been undergoing Golden Era and his name is also Manik (Jewel), but as soon as I assumed the power Finance Secretary (former Finance Secretary M Nagaraju) told about thousands of debts and deficits the State Govt is burdened with".

"Now people would ask me, why BJP continued to assure that 7th Pay Commission will be given to employees / pensioners before Assembly Election ? But did I know the condition of the treasury is like this ?", he said.

CM further raised question, so what BJP Govt could not give equal salary as centre, but the "starting" has kicked off and gradually all allowances will be given.

It can be mentioned here, before Election in each and every speech, Ex-CM Manik Sarkar continued to say that Tripura is deprive of central fund and around 1,100 cores of losses are being faced by the CPI-M Govt. So, how is it possible that BJP didn't know about the so called "treasury"?

Interestingly, Verma Committee has said that since 2014 (Modi Govt) the funding decreased. Committee report says, "It is observed that the receipt from the Central Government started falling after 2014-15 and obviously it has severely affected the finances of the State Government.

On October 9, BJP Govt announced a Pay Matrix with only 0.32 factor's hike from the current pay scale and BJP had boasted it as 7th Pay Commission.
