AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): BJP in Tripura which had set up with total support-system of Ex-Congress leaders, MLAs is now tensed as nation-wide big personalities are joining in other parties leaving BJP. After Prahlad Modi, brother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has extended his support to All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC) for 2019 general elections, now Fifteen years and three assembly elections later, history repeated itself in the politics of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
In a surprising development, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s brother-in-law Sanjay Manasi joined Congress in the presence of state Congress president Kamal Nath and party leader JyotiradityaScindia.
This is a repeat of what happened in December 2003, after Congress’ rout in the assembly elections. Less than a week after the Digvijaya Singh government was voted out, the former chief minister’s brother Laxman Singh had joined the BJP claiming differences in the family. Digvijaya Singh had then said that his brother was the first to leave him after the massive defeat.
