AGARTALA, Oct 31 (TIWN): Along with the whole nation, state Tripura is also remembering Indira Gandhi, the only female Prime Minister of India on her death anniversary.

At Congress Bhawan, like every year floral tribute was paid to Indira Gandhi by state Congress leader. MLA Birjit Sinha and MLA Gopal Roy remained present during the remembrance programme.

"Former PM Manmohan Singh, Former Vice President Hamid Ansari and CVP Rahul Gandhi pay their respects at Indira Gandhi Memorial", National Congress tweeted.

PM Modi tweeted, "Tributes to former PM Mrs. Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary".

Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi was an Indian stateswoman and central figure of the Indian National Congress. She was the first and, to date, the only female Prime Minister of India.
