AGARTALA / AMARPUR, Oct 25 (TIWN): A tribal man Podiram Tripura has injured ownself accidentally with self-made gun after he fell from a tree in attempt to catching monkey. He has narrowly escaped from death.
Family members of Podiram said, he made this gun before few days and kept it with him. On yesterday in tempt to kill one money, Podiram kept the gun in his waist ready to shoot (in locked condition) and climbed up the tree.
But suddenly the branch of the tree was collapsed and Podiram fell down with the branch. In this accident the gun which he kept locked it was unlocked and the bullet entered in his spinal cord.
Local people and his family members took him immediately to Amarpur Hospital and the hospital then referred him to GB hospital in Agartala. The bullet is still attached with his spinal cord.
How Podiram made this gun by himself it has triggered question. It will be checked whether it was bought or made by ownself. Such increasing numbers of guns hands-to-hands are trig erring tension in state everyday.
