AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): A lady was assaulted when she was returning from her Navami night's outing today early morning.

Addressing media, SP West Ajit Pratap Singh said, "Today morning we were informed that from 4 am to 6 am a lady had been molested. Our team rushed to the spot and located the incident place".

According to the victim, total four boys molested her when she was returning from Khumlwng to her home Lalit Bazar.

Based on the statement, police already arrested four persons and one mobile phone was recovered. Under Ranirbazar PS,  specific case has been registered regarding molestation of the lady in kalikapur village area.

SP further noted that centering the incident rumours are being spread through facebook pages that two boys were beaten and one girl was raped, which is totally false. It was a molestation case and police arrested four persons. There was no report of mass beating.
