AGARTALA, Oct 18 (TIWN): Ending Durga puja for this year, Tripura gears up to celebrate Bijoya Dasami.

There will be a festive look on the bank of the river Howrah at Dashamighat and other water bodies, with spirited chants of "Bolo Durga Mai Ki Jai" adding to the fervour. Children, the young and the elderly would join hands to slowly put the idols into the water as they wished for her return next year.

According to the ritual, Idol of Prabhu Bari will be the first and second is Durga bari for immersion at Dasamighat.  After that some of the puja committees would immerse the goddess in ponds, lakes and rivers of Tripura on Vijaya Dashami,
