AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): When Tripura's State Govt employees are shocked over the "JUMLA Commission" announcement with merely 0.32 factor hike cutting all allowances and DA and Verma Committee itself has accepted that since 2014 Govt of India (Modi Govt) continued slashing of funds for Tripura resulting the State Govt could never give equal pay like centre, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb said in a Durga puja pandal inauguration programme at Melaghar, "It is only and only 7th Pay Commission, there is no doubt on that. If not so how Group-C employees are getting Central Pay of Rs. 18000 per month ?" CM desperately claimed Tripura Pay Matrix 2018 as 7th Pay Commission whereas in reality, it's at least 20,000-22,000 a Group-C at Centre gets along with other benefits. Moreover, 2.57 is not workable in their case and the fixed TET teachers will get merely 600 rupees hike, whereas the new teachers will not only get 1700 rupees less than the existing teachers but Statev Govt will not give them provident funds. Most importantly employees were promised to get double salary and pay at Central scale, whereas Tripura employees got nothing. Mentioning various pending allowances and arrears (since 2016, January) and BJP's failure to implement pay hike from 2016, Biplab Deb hit the critics, "Will you give the money ? Do you have the capacity ?? So, it's 7th Pay Commission only".
"State's Own Revenue Receipt is about 20 % of the total receipt of the State which indicates heavy dependence on funds under Revenue Deficit Grant/ Share of Union Taxes, There is not much increase in the Non Plan Gap Grant and the FC Grant during the years 2015 to 2018", said the Committee report revealing how Tripura was fooled in taxing by the Modi Govt.
