AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has inaugurated Durga puja padal of Bharat Ratna Club on Maha Panchami.

This year the theme of the pandal is mythological Ram Mandir over which Babri Mosque was built. A particular case is going on in the Supreme Court on this debate on Ram Madir issue. 

The Ramayana (Epic) states that the location of Rama's birthplace is on the banks of the Sarayu river in a city called "Ayodhya" and also some Sanskrit written scripts on wall were recovered in Babri Mosque premise.

On 6 December 1992, a large crowd of Hindu Kar Sevaks demolished the 16th-century Babri Mosque in the city of Ayodhya, in Uttar Pradesh which led mass killing of Hindus in Bangladesh too. 

MLA Dilip Das, BJP Secretaries Pratima Bhowmik, Rajib Bhattacharjee were also present on that occasion.
