AGARTALA, September 23 (TIWN): “This is not a political issue but a corruption and I would do whatever can be done as per the lawâ€, said Governor P.Balakrishnacharya to Congress delegation. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) today has given a deputation to the Governor demanding CBI investigation to probe into the Bishalgarh RD block 17 crore scam. Seeking the intervention of the Governor, the PCC spokesman Dr.Ashok Sinha told the reporters about the role of Police and Government in this regard is doubtful. “The DGP is asking us about the hideout of Bimalâ€, said Dr Sinha.
In its letter to the Governor, the PCC expressed that it has definitive information that the Finance Minister (FM) Bhanu Lal Saha is behind the scam. Congress team also wrote to the Governor about more such scams involving the Central Schemes RMSA and funds in other Rural Development (RD) blocks.
Meanwhile after the submission of the deputation the Dr Sinha spoke to TIWN and said: “According to the FIR, no proper sections of law was imposed by the Bishalgargh Police Station on purpose so that accused comrade Bimal Chakraborty can roam scot free”.
