AGARTALA, Oct 6 (TIWN): Central intelligence team has started interrogation of the arms smugglers detained at North Tripura.
Union Home Ministry had decided to investigate the increasing arms smuggling cases in Tripura after series of incidents held in the last week.
Intelligence Bureau team of 5 members had arrived on Friday from Bengal and reached North District of Tripura and one more team has arrived from Delhi.
After arriving main culprit Pranjit Das has been grilled by those intelligence teams, who is now in police remand for 10 days.
Pranjit has accepted, this is not first time but regularly he is used to smuggle the illegal arms in state Tripura. Along with Pranjit another Kabiruddin was arrested from Damchara, undergoing central intelligence team led interrogation.
