AGARTALA, Oct 6 (TIWN): 21Assam Rifles as part of its endeavour to take beneficial Government Schemes to the common masses in remote areas, facilitated opening of Sukanya Samridhi accounts for the benefit of girl child at Hatkata village in Khowai district on 06 Oct 2018.

A total  of 152 people including women and village elders attended the event and 132 accounts opened and forms filled for new account. The local bank officials of SBI and Post Office were also part of this noble drive.

The genuine approach of Assam Rifles to enlighten remote villages was applauded by all.
