Worker's death in Bhanu Timber construction work case : 2 arrested

AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): Two persons were arrested on Monday by West Agartala Police in worker's death in Bhanu Timber construction work case.

Addressing media, West Agartala Police Station OC-Subrata Chakraborty said, "Since Maranjit Kevar died mercilessly at the Bhanu Timber construction work, Police registered a case but police couldn't arrest anybody till day as the accused were absconding. Getting informed via secret sources police have arrested Bhanu Timber owner Himangshu Ranjan Saha and Balaji Hardwar owner Ratan Sutradhar from office line area, produced before the court".

It can be mentioned here that Tripura Govt has announced Rs. 5 lakh for Maranjit Kebar who was electrocuted to death on Sep 26 in an illegal building construction at Big Bazar area under Bhanu Timber. 

On yesterday Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Law Minister Ratan lal Nath assured the victim family that proper action to be taken against the culprits. 

Maranjit Kebar's body was cut in multiple parts after he was electrocuted in that building construction.  He was resident of Gol Chakkar area in Agartala was working in the building construction at there under "Bhanu Timber". While working he was electrocuted and his body tore in parts.
