AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): Press Council of India has issued a notice to the BJP-IPFT Govt of Tripura for attacking press's freedom.

A local newspaper, whose Ex-Editor was CPI-M leader Gautam Das has been alleged as target of BJP govt.

The newspaper named 'Daily Desher Katha' has alleged, under Tripura's new Govt the circulation of the newspaper has been forcefully stopped and hawkers have asked not to distribute that newspaper in any house.

Based on the complaint, Press Council of India has issued a notice to the State Govt.
