AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): JUMLA masters Narendra Modi & Amit Shah have stopped funding for Tripura after winning the Assembly Election battle with all types of FAKE promises and as a result there is no glitter for Tripura, neither any development is visible in 6 months of BJP Govt. May be by mistake or slip of tongue, but Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has accepted about the fundless condition of his treasury under Modi Govt. Even after multiple Delhi visits and meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley nothing has been given to Tripura yet by the centre. While answering media queries at Secretariat, Chief Minister Biplab Deb clearly said, "The roadway was last built and maintained by the previous Govt and I don't have any fund for new road now. Also PWD is left without works since many time, whereas we have requested the Centre to handover some projects to PWD from NHIDCL". CM further said, "I can not build road in one-day. The roadway was built by the previous Govt and I have not made any road for the state, neither I have that much of fund for that".

"Whatever fund I have, I haven't hidden anything from the public and everything is transparent. My fund is public fund. As a result, various schemes as Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojna or similar schemes are being utilized and PWD is now calling for tender for various maintenance works. Recently one tender was given for maintenance and PWD has released 25 crores for that", CM added.

"NHIDCL is working on Churaibari to Agartala roadway project which is parted in 3 portions. 12 KM till Churaibari to Panisagagar is completed and we have urged to speed up the work. Also on yesterday I urged Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari that the Dept should give few works to Tripura PWD as PWD has no work now, neither much fund it left. Hopefully 150 crores project work will be transferred to PWD from NHIDCL", he added.

CM also said, when NHIDCL gets a project it get huge amount but when PWD takes project Govt gives very less. CM further compared if NHIDCL gets Rs. 53 crores, PWD gets only 10 crores.

About the Airport road via Bishpukur CM said, "Central wants that State Govt should do that project but on yesterday (during MoRTH Minister Nitin Gadkari's reviewed meeting on National Highway projects held at Shillong) I told the Centre clearly that State has no fund. Hoping the fund will be given soon".
