Santirbazar, Sept. 21 (TIWN): The uninterrupted 21-year stint in power seems to have taken a toll on the financial transparency of the Left Front administration at Block levels.

Santirbazar Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Smt Maya Bhattacherjee is trying her best to control corruption but failed  after all for her local CPIM leaders,  starting with Vice Chairman  Ratan Das and Manindra Debnath, CITU leader  Debabrata Biswas are deeply indulged in corruption. They forced Junior Engineers to get commission from them in different construction works under Santirbazar Nagar Panchayat . Moreover in the name of political shelter,  they forced JEs to follow them and those who don’t follow them they transfer them using their administrative power. As a result most of the construction works remain below good quality..  But no one have guts to raise their protest against them.

However, irony of fact that the Opposition cannot take the advantage of this construction scam. Even media person remain silent over the issue. 

Chairperson is also victim of those CPIM party leaders. Once she was also assaulted physically and an attempt was made to kill her. Due to local people her life was saved.
