AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Tripura opposition CPI-M has claimed, CBI in four cases poured cold water raising doubt about the future of killed Journalists Santanu Bhoumik, Sudip Datta Bhoumik murder cases.

CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar said, even though the journey of Santanu began as SFI leader but soon he was selected by two TV channels and successfully proceeded with that career, but on that day (Sep 20, 2017) when he went to collect news at Mandai was brutally killed by miscreants involved in political clashes.

Pabitra Kar also said, under Tripura Police led SIT, investigation was going in correct direction and actual culprits were to be punished in both Santanu Bhoumik and Sudip Datta Bhoumik murder case, but after new Govt came in power it handedover the case to CBI, but even though CBI has taken the same chargesheets of Tripura Police but investigation has been slowed.

“We were hoping that the justice will be done soon, but the new Govt has handedover the case to CBI and now CBI is doing nothing and no development has come in this case. Tripura experienced four CBI investigations but no justice was received after CBI investigation, rather CBI poured cold water in investigations”, Pabitra Kar told media.

Noteworthy, under CBI all culprits behind Rose Valley are roaming free. The BJP before coming in power promised to handover all cases to CBI and all culprits will go to jail, but no development has come in this regard and Rose Valley case is almost closed under the present govt.
