AGARTALA, Sep 19 (TIWN): West District Police have arrested one blackmailer from Sonamura on Wednesday, who was blackmailing a renowned doctor of the capital city.

The accused has been identified as Babul Mia, resident of Sonamura. He sent a text message to Dr. Dibyendu Roy to give him Rs. 50 lakhs and also blackmailed him in various means.

After that Dr Dibyendu Roy complained to police regarding this and today police have arrested him, SP West Ajit Pratap Singh told media. 

Police is investigating the arrested person.
