Agartala, September 19 (TIWN): The ridiculous state of civic law and order in the state and the inability of the Police administration, have made the culprits as audacious as they can be. Instead of staying behind the bar after committing crimes they not only are roaming free but also threatening the victims lest their tainted acts come open in public.

Crimes on women have proved the law and order of the state as null and void. Anita Debbbarma (name altered to conceal identity) of Salema, a 25 year old woman was gang raped by three youths on last March 07, 2014. Surjya Kumar Debbarma, Rabindra Debbarma and Sebendra Debbarma have been identified as the accuseds.

Anita alongwith her mother Bodhalakhhi Debbarma and father, met Tripura Commission For Women (TCW) Chairperson Purnima Roy, today, for having Police protection, as one of the three offenders is threatening the family of Ankita to kill them, if they reveal anything to anyone. Meanwhile, one of them is reported to be said that he was not involved in the act rather he went to the place to help Anita out. The name of the youth has not been revealed for the sake of the investigation.  The Chairperson assured the family of the victim of Police protection. TCW, furthermore, ensured proper investigation and justice, once it hears the objections and defense of both the sides.
