AGARTALA, Sep 10 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has expressed deep satisfaction over the successful strike fueled by public responses, which has 'poured cold water on govt orders against Bharat Bandh'.

Addressing a press conference, Congress President Birjit Sinha said, "The strike has been successful and for leading a successful strike, we thank the people of Tripura".

The Congress leader further confirmed no untoward incident occurred except some odds as in Gandacherra like places.

During the strike, while agitating at Civil Secretariat, Birjit Sinha said, "In Tripura CPI-M couldn't do anything for development. The 6 months old BJP Govt also resulted in vein. Public now will chose Congress. Govt gave many threats but we (Congress) aren't afraid of British also, forget BJP".
