Bagma, September 19 (TIWN): On Friday, MP Jiten Choudhury inaugurated the Bulk Milk Chilling Unit at Bagma Gram Panchayat .Among other dignitaries present were Smt Suniti Saha, Diganta Kumar Das, DDM NIBRD Sanghamitra Ghosh,Pradhan South Bagma GP,Sri A.K Singh ,Co-ordinator KVK,Birchandra Manu,ICAR.
MP Chaudhury said, “Poor villagers will be benefited through this type of center. This type of center will eradicate unemployment problem of our state’s remote areas in future. Moreover he also requested companies to spread their centers all over the state. He also requested the farmers to extend their helping hand for self sustainance of Bulk Milk Chilling Unit. In milk product state like Tripura may be in the top list as far as green land is concern and one day his dream will come true. Mr. Choudhury said that most of the tribal inhabitants in Agency area did not consume milk or milk products, especially pregnant women with anaemia were hesitant to drink milk during pregnancy.
“Once the BMCU collection centre begins operation, the center would supply milk to all pregnant women and tribal students of all hostels and schools. We want to inculcate the habit of consuming milk and milk products in children,” he said, adding that health workers would provide milk to pregnant women interior areas.
