AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): 6 months Public frustration over Biplab Deb Govt’s JUMLA promises, mis-governance eroded BJP’s voter base. Opposition CPI-M's tribal wing Ganamukti Parishad has announced to go in massive protest in coming days, observing the ongoing economical crisis situation across Tripura, affecting badly the rural areas as well as ADC's interiors areas. Followed by a meeting of GMP attended by 23 subdivisions' members, GMP top leader Radha Charan Debbarma in a press meeting on Sunday said, "Today BJP-IPFT Govt has completed its 6 months in Tripura. In 6 months, a Govt's intention can be easily measured. But we can observe after 6 months of completion, Govt's direction is not according to what public had expected from the Govt. The direction of work of the Govt is just at opposite direction of development". The GMP leader further criticized the ruling BJP for spreading terror ahead of Panchayat polls.
"In 6 months, at least a Govt's vision becomes clear but nothing could be done by the Govt. Infact it's going rudderless. People thought what CPI-M had done, BJP Govt will take the work level at up, but in reality there is no work progress, rather the work status after CPI-M era is downing under the BJP-IPFT Govt, slowing economy across the state, leading starvation. What they said, are doing just the opposite", Debbarma added.
"Festival season is coming. We have our Durga Puja, Laxmi Puja, Kali Puja and many more celebrations ahead, but the situation is just drought like without work, without earning and crisis. Especially the hilly areas are suffering at most. There is no signal of much work-opportunities in coming days. Thus we have decided, to go in massive protest".
"Also no step has been taken for the Patta-beneficiaries. Not only MGNREGA, but rubber, tea, fishery etc fields were utilized for work under CPI-M Govt, but the present Govt has no intention for all these.
