AGARTALA, Sep 5 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has certified Police top officials once again saying DGP, IG (Law & Order) didn't work properly in Manik Sarkar's time. The Chief Minister was addressing in a programme at Nazrul Kalakshetra of Physical Instructors when he said so. Biplab Deb was talking regarding the drug-smuggling issues claiming under BJP Govt huge amounts of drugs are being seized whereas before the new Govt was formed it never happened. "On that time also same DGP A K Shukla was appointed and as IG Law & Order K V Sreejesh was there, but on that time they couldn't down the crime rate. It's because the most powerful person (CM Manik Sarkar) himself didn't want that crimes should go at down. Surprisingly the Chief Minister also said that crime against women is also at down as drugs are nabbing heavily by cops.

 "Earlier it was 86 % crime against women", said CM adding, "I have data which says it's at down". 

CM also blamed the previous CPI-M Govt saying when earlier children were interested in playing football in the field now they are very much attached with drugs. CM also said that in his childhood he used to play football with pomelo and that's Tripura's culture, not drugs.

However, the Chief Minister was silent about the lynching, crimes against women held in the state and on Sep 3 his election time's right hand booth president of his own constituency (Banamalipur) Shaikat Saha was exposed for torturing his wife for long. In last 5 months total 58 murders took place along with lynching.

However, when it's about cops performance it can be recalled, may be due to political influence or mistrust upon the previous Govt Police’s life at HQ turned miserable after journalists were murdered led DGP A K Shukla to tell media persons on that time if media know who killed journalists than there is no need of police.

Constant demand of CBI, mistrust upon police led frustration in Tripura police and DGP was bound to tell media on that time, "CBI are comprised of some IPS Officers like us and so please trust us".

Now, finally CBI has booked 300 IPFT activists names following police’s chargesheet. But CM claimed, DGP and other police officers were inactive in Manik Sarkar’s time ? It can be noted earlier against terror threats, IPFT goons cops performed in better way. Under the West Dist former SP Abhijit Saptarshi the madness of IPFT was controlled on spot, who is now posted as SP CID but now in Kalachara like areas uncontrolled mob ended lynching episodes.

Question raises why BJP doesn't talk about CBI more in Santanu murder case ?? Who will find out  journalist Santanu's lost mobile ?? What about Rose Valley ?? Is there any hidden issue that suddenly much blamed Tripura Police turned overnight well-performer under BJP Govt ???
