UDAIPUR (Tripura), Sep 5 (TIWN): Tripura Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy took a dig at the teachers on the teachers' day while addressing at Rajarshi hall in Udaipur.
Roy said, "It should not be taken wrongly, but now a days, it's seen that few teachers do not look like teachers at all".
"Sometimes, I come across such teachers who don't look like teacher at all due to their behaviour and other issues. Seeing him / her it comes under doubt whether s/he was a teacher once or not", the Minister added.
It can be noted that on the day of Teachers' Day, with the celebration, the population remembers the great educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan. Besides, the students place honour and gratitude o their beloved teachers by offering them flowers, greeting cards and gifts as the token of love of affection to their favourite teachers, who made their life knowledgeable and fulfilled.
The main programme was conducted at Rabindra Bhawan in the presence of CM Biplab Deb, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan, Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath. In each subdivision similar programmes were held.
Today CM has urged the teachers not to take 'transfers' so deeply in mind, rather to dedicate the profession for the students.
