AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): Atleast 5 political murders and total 58 murders in last 5 months took place in Tripura, but Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Tuesday has claimed that no political murder was reported in last 6 months under BJP Govt.

“Nobody can say a single political murder took place in Tripura since our time”, Chief Minister said replying media queries.

CM was asked on CPI-M’s allegation on the ongoing threats in state ahead of Panchayat Election.

“In Tripura election has been democratic and this trend will be continued. May be it was CPI-M’s policy to win election in undemocratic manner. But in Tripura the candidates resigned at their wishes and now these posts can’t be left vacant”, the Chief Minister added.

Apart from murders, bulldozing of party offices, statues, mob-violence, lynching are continuing but Chief Minister has claimed the law and order is totally under control.

However, the 5 killed opposition activists who were killed with political reason are : 1) Abdul Kadir (65), 2) Tapas Sutradhar, 2) Rakesh Dhar, 3) Pradip Deb Barma, 4) AjendraReang.
