AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): State Election Commission sources informed TIWN that EC’s neutrality is under threat as BJP/RSS workers are in key position with the sole intention to manipulate upcoming Elections. Demand has been raised to remove one turncoat BJP activist Chandan Sutradhar, who switched over from CPI-M to BJP after Assembly Election, posted in State Election Commission’s duty. Manipulating Govt employees protocols, the BJP activist Chandan Sutradhar has continued his party work in local RSS wing as the Swayang Sevak.Not only he also appointed as the Treasurer of ‘All Tripura Stenographers’ State Committee’ under Tripura Rajya Karmachari Sangha, a totally BJP backed organization. Chandan Sutradhar is posted in State Election Commission, Tripura as PA to Secretary whereas By-Election to Panchayat’s preparations are going on, which has erupted resentment over the neutrality of the Govt in election functionaries.

Chandan Sutradhar is a Core Committee (Treasurer) Member of 'All Tripura Stenographers' State Committee' under TRKS.

Thus he is connected both in Sangh and BJP directly, violating the codes of Election Commission, even though since long he is appointed in this Dept.

TIWN also receivedevidence that he is involved in 'Ramji Sakha' and this picture shows Chandan Sutradhar as an active SwayangSevak of RSS.

Trusted Secretariat source further informed complained that there is no doubt that Chandan Sutradhar is not a politically neutral person and he should be posted at State Election Commission, Tripura at such crucial time when By-Election to Panchayats is going on.

Apart from this Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 11 of TTAAD Village Committee (Conduct of Election) Rules, 1996 and such other Rules in Panchayats & Municipalities and even in Assemblies & Lok Sabha also restricts such Office Bearers from such posting.

Pre-Panchayat Election time is also facing riggings and threats. BJP’s bike-gang is moving house to house threatening people not to submit nominations with CPI-M tag and surprisingly EC notification says Pacnhayat Election will be held on Sep 20, Oct 1 and within bracket the notification wrote “If Necessary”.

Turncoat Chandan Sutradhar also was seen attending May Day of CPI-M in 2017 with CPI-M.. State Election Commission should remove all these party functionaries from Election Commission Office to restore public faith in neutrality of SEC.
